oak tree

Stand up and tower over the garden like the oak tree that you are. Reach deep into the soil and grab the sustinance that feeds the thick ebony bark and lucious green leaves that clothe you. Stretch out to open your branches and claim the sun for yourself. Do not allow the festering weed that clings at your feet. He is sucking at your rich honey sap. Scavenging for his fill of you, untill you stumble, crippled and wasted. You are like a fading star now, in the tapestry of lights on the night sky. Soon he would have won and not even the kind heart that i offer will be able to revive you.
