Obligation
Life can be confusing, When Obligation skews thought, And you're hiding behind politeness, Whilst your emotions are fraught. That secret, those reasons That affair, those lies, Are kept under wraps, lest somebody cries, Because the truth hurts, When lies are the convention Keep it a secret, Or you'll get a mention, At every family lunch, When an old woman dies, You'll find yourself targeted, For anything but lies, So keep it under wraps, Your obligations please keep, The cat stays in the safe, Or you're in it knee deep.
