OBLIVIOUS
OBLIVIOUS While asleep we shared the same night sky as our feet walk the same planet Earth but oblivious as to why he turns a blind eye Maybe we swatted that same black fly, when we lay apart, protecting our berth while asleep we shared the same night sky, was the sound we heard the mockingbird’s cry as we searched for the star of true North? but oblivious as to why he turns a blind eye and like honey, the Sun drips down from up high, as we both must have basked in it’s warmth, while asleep we shared the same night sky, And like lovers entranced he utters a sigh and laughs at a joke we both heard, but oblivious as to why he turns a blind eye. unable to speak now or even imply that his recurring dreams are now stirred. while asleep we shared the same night sky, but oblivious as to why he turns a blind eye.
