Of the Hyrax and the Sheep
Oh, Hyrax! You lovely little thing! Perched up again, aren't you? The sheep looks up to find his young Dassie friend; A playful morning scene. See, Dassie always runs up hill. He has seen their path from up above And they share good laughs in the pass. Now, Dassie this day grew serious and sour, For things have been same hour on hour. Drama was unfolding within the flock below, though, And this one sheep he called a good fellow. So he told him amidst the row: "My good fellow! Anything you do to him will be applied to an empty set, For when she hugs you, ask who she is hugging! He is not there. The moment at which tragedy hits him, That moment is already gone And all that is left of your vengeance Echoes on memories of him!" And the sheep said "Ba-ah!"
