Preach to me oh preacher Preach the hymns of your belief, Preach to me the stories That a timid mind may weave, Preach to me of angels In some distant lofty palace, Preach to me of demons And their burning realms of malice. Do you long for other worlds Because you failed on earth? Pass vain judgment and condemn To leech some twisted mirth? Do you cling to god’s stone feet Because you fear your life? Why do you sell your nature And your powers to contrive? Preach to me oh preacher The devotion of your guise, But tell me blinded teacher, What of life do you despise? For when you preach of heaven All you preach is your own death, So preach, archaic creature, Preach to me your final breath.
