On finding an old poet friend

I finally found him on twitter like finding old photographs Memories know how to burn And at once, the days of closeness touched the clouds and the Past rained down undoing all the guilt that bled through love-defeated veins. First love can be quite painful if seen through the eyes of another stranger back then, he thought he found a true friend suffering the same pain of a defeated love, undergoing the same trauma as he had endured. But my situation became so sensitive that I found hard to tell him that it was another love poem. I did not want to give him any false comfort but he realizing that, asked me indirectly to delete the poem as he did not want to ignite the same wounds again. But words can be dangerously tempting sometimes and if you got the heart of a poet your hand itches to speak in metaphors and I that time, orchestrated a metaphor so grave in meaning that everyone else on the forum found in some subtle way, it is them I am referring to. And then a miracle of replies happened a chain reaction of love, that no one ever wrote something solely for themselves. Sadly, words can be very complicated to understand if anticipated from the language of suspicion the lines between true love and sarcasm can blur if one tests the limits of honesty. Slowly, my words got poisoned in the minds of others and inadvertently we lost touch. That was the past that was undone but now the rainbow is no longer in blurry shades, nor the birds forgot their song. Our distances may be great but so are the stars and like them, our stories never remained untold. I hope one day our lives will collide one day, the stars will fall fulfilling our wishes until that day, we will lose ourselves in the wind and share our muse with the flowers.
