On That Day...

As the day gets closer, it all feels like a bedlam, People fighting to flee, Hoping that they pass that final exam, Wishing there’s more they could see. It’s the day of culmination, We will all stand across the Gods above, It’s the day of determination, It’s the day when we will know if we have lived for love. For so long our actions have been corrupt, Killing for pleasure, None of our promises were kept, Our sins were out of measure. On that day, we will admit to all what was askew, On that day, we will ask for forgiveness, On that day, nothing will be born new, On that day, we will ask for deliverance.
