OODLES OF POODLES
First off, let me just tell you that my neighbors who live behind me through the woods have like 6 dogs and they are all the same breed. Since there are just too many to remember all of their names I just refer to them as the Oodles of Poodles gang. I believe them to be poodles, but they may very well be something else, as their owners have never had them groomed. They are pretty much left to themselves and run through the neighborhood like a band of merry pranksters. They are all real sweet but dogs can become rambunctious when they hang in packs like this. They sometimes even recruit my two rat terriers and other dogs in the neighborhood to join in their fun. This is a true story. * OODLES OF POODLES * My walk in the woods, ended quite abrupt as oodles of poodles scampered about * Nipping at my heals and circling around as they challenge me to a stand off on my own common ground * As more of the same converge upon me I feel like I'm an actor In a comedy scene * As the one with the leash attached weaves through my feet he proceeds to pull my legs straight out from under me * As the others begin to show their remorse they start to lick my face and I began to laugh! * Yes, it's hard not to laugh When you're laying on the ground and oodles of poodles are staring you down! * WordPlaya, June, 2009

I enjoy writing and since rediscovering the power of poetry, it has brought me much joy! My favorite poet is Richard Brautigan, and I am a big fan of freestyle poetry, as I find it less limiting and most creative. I also like spoken word poetry. ...
