Orphan - inspired by W Archer's 'Merrit'

·Darius

Orphan the sea always absent from the beach endless grains of dust drifting to the stars a stream of salt cuts harshly and meanders while thirst burns beyond a frowning dune one weed who stoops against the rocks releases sap into a seed the only water there has ever been from adoptive roots it seems and never can the seed grow more than to look with whetted craving at mirages on the salty banks where vivid colour blooms.

I'm into poetry that flows through me, more as an emotional art-form than a traditional construction, but I do appreciate most of it.
