Our Circumstances

Our Circumstances Under different circumstances you could have loved me, I could have loved you. Under different circumstances you’d have a different past, Chances for a different future. We might have gained what we wanted, And learned from what we didn’t. I could have had what I needed, Instead of what I didn’t. Like the wind that no one can stop, No one can start. Our circumstances are unaltered, They are definite. As my mind molds around my surroundings, Existence flickers in my eyes. The fire of present being- Pulses in my toes. Tenses my muscles, And no body knows. Under different circumstances you would know, You could have known. All the things we thought we had, There wasn’t an inkling. Of our ignorance. Another place, point and times… Circumstance. We may have been enlightened. April 07 Sheena Allen
