Our Joined Thoughts

Stripped down to the stars, I'm patiently waiting for your first look, for your first-born touch. You come, though I know twilight will be late for this meeting. I touch your soul with reverence, I sink into the infinite source of a kiss. The senses dance, although they do not deserve fear, they do not deserve silence. I love the sound of the wind in your hair, noise like our intertwined breaths, our joined thoughts. I am you, you are me. I cover myself with your warm weight, ignoring all the lies that stand in our way to the restless stars. Only the Moon, which has sat on the windowsill, looks at our tender distance, our shared dreams of loneliness.
