Out. Period.

·Shallo

On one occasion it was “I love you” Recently turned into “I’m just angry I need to get over matters” One-time it was certain we’d spend forever At the moment I beg for just an evening Used to be jealous of my friends And want to fill my weekends I got rid of them You found someone (thing) else to fill yours Your oxymorons are giving me migraines I’m grateful you can squeeze me in between your laundry and fixing your PC Yet deep down I know this is just a mind game Laying it on really thick with all the blame You weren’t listening when I told you… So I’m not saying it again Now I’m truly gone I’ve come to the end of begging for affection, For answers For questions For the union of two minds For begging for begging sake I’m outdone I’m done My consolation being Half the things you think I did I didn’t My satisfaction comes in knowing that I’m not even angry Because despite my failures with you I will love again I will love harder and stronger I do not lack love because I lost love I love you, in spite of you. I love. Period. You delay and postpone because your mind is made up On obeying whatever images that lay there And suggest we both deserve loneliness But now I’m sure I don’t. I could choose to stay and wallow In this loneliness just so I can be with you But I choose not to be inhabited Because I’m in love with someone more important than you, me And I cannot believe I almost forgot about her in my quest to love you I’ve tried to leave once too many times And you professed love You need time You need to stop being angry You need to get your act together You need you need you need So I stay because I thought I was the reason for your anger But now I refuse to be your martyr Yesterday I forgave myself I don’t expect you to do the same I just realised leaving doesn’t have to be a physical journey But it’s more an emotional and mental transcendence I’m all out of tears All out of patience All out of want But most importantly I’m out. Period.
