She closes her eyes to the sun Turning her back to its light Her smile is like a shadow It just doesn't seem right Her breaths are small and shallow Just half-hearted tries Her shoulders are hunched Her mouth forming silent cries If you look into her eyes You will see untold pain She's just a broken creature Who will never be whole again.
