Palpable Relief

Palpable Relief Fateful words you uttered, almost palpable my relief. Your shocked silence, echoing my own Gradual deterioration of respect for years we compromised ourselves. The honesty between us lost in denial Critizism builds no one! Yet we tried. The price for accepting each other too high! Tired, disillusioned, naked and raw. We have a choice. The differences between us the final straw. You said you’ll prefer to walk the rest of your life alone. Freedom bubbling secretly while I digest the shock. Lanie – July 2006

Respect and appreciation for the beauty and power of the written word, brought me here. Perhaps being a word miser myself shows in my few attempts posted here. I am often astonished and humbled by the resilience, diversity and power of our humanity....
