Patches On My Soul
No, I'm not lonely Well, maybe just a bit No, I'm not crying My cheeks are just wet No, I'm not broken I'm just pieces of a whole Maybe you can fix me Do you have patches for my soul? I need a seamstress With a needle and a thread To put me back together again With pieces of blue, green and red Do you work deftly? Are your knots nice and strong? Will the patches hold in time Even though my heart is gone Do you think you could mend me And make me whole again Could you sew patches over my soul Would they cover up this pain?
