Patience
What kind of life is this, When problems persist, Because of something, You dont have enough of. Something you work hourly for, That you work cowardly for, And its hard to give up, Your ten bucks, Every sixty minutes, Because, you know if you quit The shit is going to hit the ceiling, And you can feel it. But, maybe you're scared, Since, you barely have enough To buy yourself a bus fare, You've been wanting to get out of town, And get yourself out of the dumps, But, you've been trying to stretch, Your last five bucks for lunch Until the end of the month, And more money won't come. Because, your next paycheck, Is pretty much spent, And that's if you get, Overtime on the weekend. You're just struggling to survive, Waiting for your day off, Hoping your patience pays off, Knowing money is time. Trying to push, Your last penny to a dime. But life is too short To live it through, Working your ass off For half off fast food. Because the benefits, Ain't much for health And you can't settle yourself, If you want your wealth. So instead of patiently waiting, For your hopes to take you higher, Just take a step in another direction Away from the deep fryer.
