PEACE IN THE NIGHT __________________________ There is peace in the night when you embrace the eternal light, and come to see what is true, and let it shine in all you do. There is peace in the night when you feel no more dred, and no more fright. The Father and the Son are the only illuminaries I have known, and I have never felt out on my own. Peace in the night is what I have found when the grace of the Father abounds. I have taken solace in that one thing, as I have been sheltered under his wings. Peace in the night is what I have come to know, and greater love is what I have come to show. I have felt it deep down in my soul, when salvation has been my goal. There has been peace in the night when I have prayed on my knees, and sought the Father to please. I have sought him out in prayer, for he will forgive me when I err. Peace in the night has given me the comfort I desire, and given me the spirit which is an unquenchable fire. The spirit leads me in the way that I should go, and causes me to love my brothers and sisters so. There is peace in the night as I approach that eternal light, and it flows to me, and brings me closer to that crystal dawn, when all sin and suffering and wickedness will be gone, for I can see it in my sight, and I have peace in the night.
