Pen for your Thoughts
She’s scared of her own shadow I hold her anywhere I can Anytime I can We lay there in silence Thinking of beautiful things to say Neither of us speak She tells me not to write about her Scared of what I might have to say I don’t blame her I’m just as much at the mercy of the pen as she I write anyways, no longer holding back: You think in poetry and write in dreams you speak in love and move in lust you listen in beauty or so it seems when you stare at me I don’t notice enough The pen can turn on you any second
