PEN IN HAND * time for a revolution It's gone on way too long the injustice in this world just can't keep going on * don't need a sword don't need a gun not in need of nothing But that pen that's in your hand * We're fighting for the people those not really free And also for the people Who still pretend to be * Don't take it lying down Get up and make a stand don't need fighter jets Just the pen that's in our hand * don't need violence Just ask Martin Luther and all that he had wished for can still come true here * a way to make a living a job for every citizen all who work than should be so our children don't go hungry * so they can go to school Not have to live in fear they will have to go to war Just to get a college degree * if we happen to get sick We can go see an MD not have to worry later about claiming bankruptcy * With pen in hand We fight the fight It don't weigh much So we travel light * We don't need dollars Backed up by greed A voice filled with justice Is all we will need * Better wake up And live by God's plan We're not in need of bombs Just the pen that's in our hand * WordPlaya, July 2009
