People of Change
As human beings We are dormant Watching as the hawk who has seen it's prey Waiting as the rabbit who has heard wings For something magnificent To break the melancholy still That is everyday life For most of us Only a rare few Are brave enough to test To question even one Of the expectations To find new ideas And use them to soar into the light of tomorrow Who are these? They are the People of Change Though they are rarer Than the elusive ghost orchid Some emerge from the caves of society With the light of change in tow They are the ones Who can save us from ourselves They can obviate the known With their words of yet unspoken knowledge They can take their ideas And change the world
