Piece Of Me
Dusted across the universe lay shards of my heartbeat Styling my shadows in crimson shades Torturing the spaces between my eye's Following the traces that your lips desire And when your dreams finally catch the ends of my fingers The lasting hand will hold the air that suffocates the sun Before your soul inhabits mine The floor of my chest cracks Revealing the piece of me you hold in you So for my shame you dissolved the sorrow And in my heart you held the broken pieces inside you Taking my mind into rivers of soothing rhythms Drenching my being and forcing my lungs to expand So follow me and take my footsteps seriously Never forgetting that it is there where my heart stood still And stroke the keys that unlocked your very soul Before lying in my arms and counting my pieces.
