Pit of Redemption
Somewhere in hell, a demon tears at a soul Enraged because no wounds can it behold How can this be, who is this man, The devil explained and this is how it began This is a story of a lost soul, A gangbanger thug, extracting his toll When faced with prison, where he wished not to tary He decided then to join the military Under his chaplain, he learned pride, How to help others, how to save lives, When it was time he returned home To tell his brother what he should have known, He found his brother on a dimly lit street About to make his first kill, and join the gang elite He stepped in to stop what he knew was wrong Took the bullet himself, but before his was gone His brother heard everything he had learned So to the good path he would be returned As he met Saint Peter at the pearly gate He said, “I cannot enter this place. Please forgive what I did to his soul Corrupting it with tales of women and gold, I will serve time in hell without a fight If you would please show my brother the light.” As the demon began to shed a tear Out of the shadows did Jesus appear “It is clear you have seen the light, You may have a second chance at life.” Jesus said, after redeeming the soul “You have served your sentence, its time to go” The man stood firm and simply said, “No. If there are more to save, let’s make it so.” So the next one was sent in to him Such is life in the Pit of Redemption

Mental Journey
I am on a journey of the mind. Contemplating the universe on every scale, and doing a complete introspective exploration. I may never be a literary academic, but I share my humble thoughts in hope that they may inspire others.
