PLAYING GOD
PLAYING GOD (inspired by Rea’s poem Nature Commands) * Like Zeus I plan the future Observing who is of frivolous nature Taking my pleasure where I may and wielding my power throughout the day * I play with fire I take my chance and leave to fate to carve its paths along the way Through sun kissed meadows bathed with light throughlengthened shadows * And stooping low I let some go and some I will hold captive Especially ones who please my eye with whom I am Enamored with * As I relegate some to irrelevancy And some to stardom beyondall dreams I alone then will decide on whoshall live and who shall die * Amerciless God I will be indeed as I stooplow upon my knees My trowel will serve as judgment tool, the compost heap asliving Hell. * WordPlaya, February 28, 2010 ********************************************* Gardening is an active participation in the deepest mysteries ofall the Universe ~ Dave Berry ~
