Poetical Opinion

Poetry, what is poetry? What is poetry to you? What is poetry to me? Is it something to which we would agree? You like big fancy dictionary words I like straight forward illustrative words you like a person to read and scratch his head I like a person to read and have a smile instead you want to punctuate and delegate every line I want to tell a story with an intriguing rhyme you like to improvise fancy similes I like just plain easy reading poetry But if you don’t mind me just asking this who died and made you god of literature cause sure as hell no one has the right to say ones poetry is rubbish in contrast to another’s write and that only fancy poetry is poetry of insight My poetry remains poetry and my poem a poem even if you sit with your ass on a language degree throne Cause poetry is freedom, reality and emotions written in different styles with different devotions I just write what my heart feels hoping to entertain to what the reader appeals React however you prefer to this piece as long as it brings a sense of peace and a contribution as you reach your final conclusion and be it bad or be it good poetry remains a never-ending tree with widely spread roots it will never be destroyed with a star comment and a kick from a boot Touché, I rest my case
