Poetry in a Plate

The element of nothingness and question Comes with the boldness of seeking passion Loneliness overshadowing regression Of lost ones and abandon relations Silent stares to those whose hands are held tight Dinner for one, now my fate I hate to see. The Colton Cafe exhales my memories The English chef gave me the same meal, The one that she liked. Every taste Symbolising her smile, every grain of rice Reminding me of what was mine, Every bite of that rare steak, the image of this broken heart, Every onion that made me cry in a plate that made you smile, now i come to understand pain without exertion Yet, I pretend to be whole, for in my darkest days That’s when I learnt her relevance in this life This lie that I now live, has crashed me To the dirty hot sands that dries rain at first sight, Now I find poetry in a simple plate, And this now has become The element of nothingness and question .
