Political Orator
This is my second attempt in free verse. She was speaking slowly, but succinctly. Each word meticulously woven into phrases, Each image – a powerful gimmick, Each pause leaving me captivated and hungry for more; Each gesture, like a sculptor’s chisel, engraving Her message in my gullible mind. In her masterful hands, I turned into a parrot marionette.
