Polka Dot Pyjamas

·Boffin

She wore white pyjamas every evening before bedtime Her room dancing with colour And between the two walls her head rests Under her pillow lay unattached teeth While her blonde locks cradle her face Face as innocent as candy wrappers Skin as smooth as honey from the hive And as darkness shifts shadows across the walls Her grip becomes tighter than her clenched toes Fingers of light escape the misty night While shards of cold air kiss her lips The silence is so thick it's tangible While footsteps echo through the dark hallway A scream echo's through the silent hallway After a scream comes a shout of uncontrollable pain Her door swings open as the shards of cold air pierce her skin The figure of black raises it's hand and empties the barrell Without a scream she exits her cold body Her soul soaring through darkened memories The figure now standing over the innocent soul From white pyjamas to red polka dot Her body lay on the bed while her eyes rest in peace Face frozen in sweet rest 'Daddy, why did you do this?'
