Poor Darling
Poor darling, I want to take away your pain You’re so young Yet you’ve seen so much, Done so much, Hurt so much. Poor darling, I want to make you whole again So that you won’t have to cry You won’t have to hurt Or be numb inside. Poor darling, What did you do To deserve this retaliation of karma? Were you just born Into the wrong family? Poor darling, I want to take you And make you part of my family I want to hold you Until you don’t hurt anymore, Until the numbness goes, And your smile reaches your eyes.
