Positive Attitude
Positive Attitude I behold the world through rose-colored glasses When the blindfolding darkness within me fades away; And I see the beauty of which I had been unaware In the confines of an unknown realm I have now known Through verses of a divine and sacred book I behold the beauty in damaged and fragile things To mirror the damaged selves and souls because of misdeeds; Seeing them being healed of the sickness of evil deeds because of a flicker; And I see in destruction new bricks for a magnificent edifice My eyes foreshadow the happiness in the confines of melancholy When I see the aching being overlaid by a thin layer of positive attitude And I throw the seeds of hope to grow inside of my fruitful soul To see the petals of roses and flowers of a better morrow growing, blossoming I gaze upon the ashes and the frost of what I have been all these years And I ignite them with a candle that night with this flicker I’ve been gifted Which its flame would lighten my very long way … It’s just the beginning of a new path I have named for the rest of my life
