Prayer by a sinner
This dark cloud That never seems to go away All I can do is hope to recover, Fall on my knees and pray. Sunlight will break through And come to start the day Destroying darkness as it comes Most faithful souls still pray. I had long pushed God aside And struggled to find my way To be cleansed by fire and water I slowly recalled how to pray. In this dark moment of solitude Aching heart with much to say Lies still in silence and genuflect Most humble sinner, I pray.
