Puppy love
I’d never seen her look so sad. Her brow was knotted tight. I don’t like it when she feels bad. It’s such a gloomy sight. I’d never seen her look so sad. It made me sad as well. I’m the one she can come to, the one that she can tell. I’d never seen her look so sad. She wouldn’t play at all. She took me off her lap and she didn’t throw my ball. I’d never seen her look so sad. But still, I kept on trying. To make her smile is my great task, that keeps me too from dying. Later when she went to bed I crept in next to her. And lying there she started to gently stroke my fur. The morning after all the tears we played beneath the sun. She laughed at me chasing my tail. My job here now is done.
