Queen

Strangely drifting Amongst the bottom of A lake with deep Dark mud covering me And weighing me down Finding a rock My right hand grabs it stretching my upper Body out of the mud In a gifted breathe I moved away from the surface of the bottom Eyes covered mouth closed And skin submerged in Senselessness I picked up my upper body Into the shape of a cobra Finding the strength to take Myself out of the depth Into the middle Fluttering my legs feeling my body Tremble with its atrophy I clawed myself a few feet up To stretch my hands in prayer above My head Fingers breaking the surface of Wetness into air and magic Intuition under arrest Emotions clouding my view I didn’t know how to grasp air To break the next barrier Yet my prayer outstretched Towards the universe Connected to my still pure Beating heart I felt a breeze awaken My senses My deadened body Alive now with energy and Anticipation I felt a gush of cold springs under the Balls of my feet Projecting me out of the lake The complete relief of breaking free The exhilarated upper body In touch with water and air The feet touching the depths of my past I emerged A Queen.
