Radio Rib-ticklers
Have tuned into radio for so many a year; News, music, drama, laughs and odd tear! This great medium much humour does bare; A few lighter moments, with you I will share! Quiz contestant had, by strange quirk of fate, Kids of two, four and six, born on same date! His line of work?...I need no reminder; Earned living as...precision grinder! A familiar sight at any big cricket ground, Two greats of the past, of whom legends abound! Peter Willey, now umpire and sporting a beard; Expert Michael Holding, fast bowler once feared! They played at the Oval, test of eighty four; Spawned classic comment...part of folklore! What listeners heard...may sound plain silly: The bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey! Tong Lok phoned boss...me no work, sick as hell; Dear fellow, said boss, do as I, when not well! I go straight home, and make love to my wife; That does the trick...so much joy, spice of life! That you, boss?...Tong Lok now feels fine, On way to work, be there half past nine! Took your advice, and made love to spouse; By the way, boss, you have beautiful house!
