Reconnecting
So here I sit alone once more Burrowing deeper into myself, Searching for answers to questions I thought had long ago been answered Trying desperately to find peace in that Trying desperately not to lose myself in the shift once more. I stand up, I look in the mirror Who are you? What are your dreams your goals your heart's desires Do you know? Do you want to? Will you ever Wanting to wrap this all up Needing to Neatly, tied with a bow On a shelf, in a dark corner Everything on its place choosing not to but recognising that choice is not mine to make, not now When will I meet you? Or do I already know you Maybe we just haven't hung out for quite a while? So Hello How are you Come inside, sit awhile Next to the fire We can hold hands, not say a word Just be still together, keep company I think that will be a good place to start
