The person I was, the things I’ve done Places I’ve been, lives I’ve touched People I’ve loved and lost Yesterday my life was surrounded by friends Today I thrive on solitude Yesterday it was you I was passionate about Today, it’s someone else I’m marrying Yesterday I was the life of the party Today someone has occupied the center stage And I’m content in my corner Yesterday I took the world by storm Today the limelight holds no attraction Yesterday I felt immortal and invincible Today I’ve taken my place in the universe A little higher than a monkey and A little lower than an angel Yesterday I worked hard to make a living Today I’m learning to make a life Yesterday I was younger Today I am wiser
