Regret When I stand before "My Maker" And the "Balance Scales" are set I hope "The Good" that I have done in life Out weighs what I regret Those little acts of kindness As light as they can be Have So Much, that they must overcome To find some peace for me Transgressions that weigh so heavy That number more than I admit Dark shadows through my walk in life That my heart will not forget A brief reprieve my soul recieves sometimes When I help someone in need Until the thought of things i've done Brings back dark memories Good deeds are where I find my peace To right some wrong i've done Andtry and walk a straighter path On this new life, that I've begun
