Rejection
Dumped and abandoned, so quickly discarded, Betrayed by my lover and left broken hearted, Ten years of happiness, washed down the drain, Replaced with the silence of underserved pain. Ignored and forgotten to dwell in my hurt, Your care and your love you so quickly overt, A month filled with silence with not a word spoken, As days trickle past with this heart that is broken. Remem’bring your beauty, your grace and your charms, I see you now held in another man’s arms, To forget me so quickly, you yearn for his touch, It just isn’t fair that I still hurt so much. Weeks wander by, into months, into years, And I’m sure there’s a time when there’ll be no more tears, But I’ll never forget you, our love and affection, And the pain that you’ve caused with your heartless rejection.
