Philosophical

To investigate the curiosity of your focus 
One would have to take into good regard 
Not only the width but the span thereof 
The mind's eye sees your inner workings 
That is all there is 
 
And so as one sets one's focus 
One may build a train of thought 
To try and make meaningful sense 
Out of the events that are unfolding 
We are well aware 
 
But how the line gets drawn 
When you take a single step 
Is who knows whose work 
To make the next conclusion 
Following from A to B 
 
And although all of this is very one-oh-one 
I feel that the truth or the gist is 
That whose work is quite a piece 
And it allows for solid understanding 
Being the notion of a sequence come full circle 
 
Acting like a temple of the soul 
The gift of understanding should shine 
And be appreciated for the light that it is 
For trying to disregard it 
Would be like vandalizing flowers
