Remember that cold night Angels came down to take you away To your final resting place We didn’t want to say good-bye Wish there was more time, we always do Although some of us didn’t know you well We all knew what a wonderful person you were The angels came and took you away But they couldn’t take the memories We’ll treasure them dearly each day Think of better times, our favorite memory Life was too short now you’re in a better place You will be watching over us and you’ll be in our hearts Where we will think of the good times we shared Look at photographs and pass on the memories To great grandchildren who weren’t privileged enough To know and love you longer
