We miss you dearly, it's been a year today The pain of losing you still fresh, we'll be okay Tears we've shed for remembrance, not our sadness Letting you go has put our love and faith to the ultimate test Trying to carry on your legacy, yet still understand Why God had to take you from us, why he took your hand Your suffering is now over, still our hurt remains Thinking of the should have beens, we must refrain Memories of your laughter, camping, Boxing Day Holding them deep in our hearts, we'll meet again I pray Remember without you, the hardest part of all But our life spend here together, we will always recall With every sunbeam that shines down upon our face We'll know your watching over us from your heavenly place.
