They have called out parents, congressmen and president But their voices and pleas are rejected by our precedents. If we took a little time to hear what they have to convey We might be in a better place and not be in such dismay For centuries our youth have been flouted and ignored We need to be receptive and their suggestions explored. You know, I am from a different generation and I am old school But I need to be more open to suggestions and not be a fool. If we want our whole country to do better and really thrive. Your right to speak must never be restricted or deprived.
