RISE & GREET THE MORNING
RISE & GREET THE MORNING (Inspired by Headaches and Regrets byZaxby) * As cigarettes butts lie drowning in your half glass of day-old beer you could not drive home, you didn't want to be alone, so you decided to just stay here. as you woke the scent of urine soon greeted your morning air and the taste left in your mouth, was like somethingdecomposed there! * Your head pounds so badly, It reverberates madly You just can't take anymore As you wander around in your dense mental fog you're still trying to find the door * You feel the crawl in reverse of all your stomach contents but no, it's even worse! Why am I wearing no socks? why am I wearing one shoe? How did I end up sleeping here And who the hell are you? * As you grab the couch arm to hold yourself steady The room starts to spin but you want to get ready Where are those car keys, I know they're here somewhere? They're probably down In the crack of that chair * Why didn't I leave well enough alone? Did I have to havesix shots instead of just one? As I finally find keys It's then I proceed to quietly let my self out, My car is not here, but my house is I swear and it may be because I still live next door * WordPlaya, May 2009
