Rolling Hills

·Ilse

Above the hill as she looked back Notations - times lost she tracked a route, destined, construed, as frail but far away the morning mist sliced sunshine rays and all whilst life gave her more rain direction, perfection towards her aim It’s love unearthed, once past the pain The clouds gathered with winds of change They speak, they spoke they rearranged To call the sun and earth beneath the steps to take for rainbow breeze Beneath that dappled colour glow there stood an essence, surprising soul, who sung the song she longed to hear and whispered gently in her ear Afar the rainbow, ahead the hill there’s many rolling, there’s many still But unlike then, the paces changed A hand held out to turn the page, to new beginnings with unsolved ends a partnership with rousing trends And may the day never rise where you fall down the hill of cries As life applauds your newfound thrills, walk gamely up your rolling hills.
