Room
In a room where only I exist and time is nothing but numbers on a circle, I peel back the layers of skin and observe what lies beneath. In a room where only I exist, I face my fears, entirely stripped, I heave out the pent up grief and release the thing that's locked up tight. In a room where only I exist I marvel at the world beyond. I see the stars on a wooden boat, travelling oceans in harmonious winds. The boat has no destination it lands wherever I dream, the paper that defines me sinks, I land on new terrain. In a room where only I exist, a heart full of hope and fear watches water seep through the windows as I gently float away.

I have always loved writing songs but never had much experience with poems, so here I am. I'm open to learning as much as I can so feel free to criticise :)
