Running Thoughts

Arguments with my faults and desires Push my joggers to the last summit While bugs, freckling the stagnant air, Draw in through my nostrils So I snort them out, one by ticklish one Anonymous, irritating, distracting - pause. I am there. The fulvous sunset freezes life's flotsam to a stop I feigned flippancy in the shadowland but this Is really what I came for - not the high, Not the visceral tug of the racy runner. The peace, closure at end of day, end of world, end of hill, Rapture is a nonpareil in the edgy quid pro quo; My last time: No alternate reality no twisted meritocracy no Moist choice one after naught survive this view. Vertigo only a few jumps away, and a Break in the perpetual wire of emote, emote. This is my drug, dawn, enigma; because here I am A threat, a reprobate Gila, or a migratory mind And I would break my pencil over your hipbone If it felt good. Leaving, the raptors of these thoughts circle above me Foreshadowing that salacious misnomer "My life."
