Russia
I've renamed it as "Motherland" You’ve been wrecked by wars and revolutions, Plagued by greed, corruption, vice and fraud. You’ve evoked fear and repulsion, You’ve been judged and laughed at by the world. You’ve withstood the slaughter of your children, Poverty and havoc reigned with glee. You have been to hell and back, but tell me How can you forget and not forgive? **** Perhaps, now’s the time for you to reach out, Time to heal old wounds at last. It’s hard to embrace the future without Coming to terms with the past.

I was raised in Russia and moved to the States at the tender age of 16. Been writing poetry since I was 11 years old. It is my favorite way of spending time:)
