Russian December.

In Russia frosty sunny days are rather seldom in December. When it happens, icicles on the roofs shine like amber. We have no holly in our thick woods and groves, Bad luck, but we adore the fir-trees that everywhere grow, And we do like to put on them some wreath, Balls, ribbons, toys, oh yes, I can’t forget nice sweets, And fragile bells and stars and many other magic things. No doubt, Father Frost and Snowgirl will bring his gifts, But only if they like the decoration. Carolers, I think, Won’t get sweet cookies here in Russia if they keen.
