Sacred Flowers

·TheNightShift

We walked in your secret garden The winter air was sharp and cold Sycamores laden with snowflakes Twas sunset and the sky was gold Covered with fairy tale frosting Was beauty you wanted to show Hidden by a thick white blanket Sacred flowers beneath the snow We embraced in the secret garden Our breath drifted on the cold air I looked deeply into your eyes Your soft words ended our affair The final chapter in our romance I remember as I watched you go Tinged by the gold of the sunset Sacred flowers beneath the snow
