Salute to dawn

I look to you sunrise, Bringer of light, Deliver a hope that's new Each day I wake Trembling again, Scared, nervous and cold Some just don't bother rising Some leave their heads to hang, Some are already dead But I look to you sunrise, Lie to me again That I am not this old. Let the rest forget That your giving rays Have come to show us where to go Let the rest regret That they sought not To look for you to come again. But I look to you sunrise, To come be our king and die, Leaving the promise yet wanting.
