This is my second poem. Feel free to criticise( I need it anyway!)Thanks for reading! Sanctuary. Peace descends like mist upon this gentle jungle. Thoughts that once pulverised my mind Are now scattered amongst the leaf litter. My nostrils embrace the aroma of the pine And I succumb to the mystic wiles of the oak. Bird song enchants my ears and my senses rejoice. I lay down under my quilt of green. Shades of emerald and jade shimmer before my eyes. As my spirit soars to frolic in the canopy, I pay homage to my woodland shrine.
